I ended my 1st {13day} fast around sept 18th. At first I was ravenous, but stayed with veggies for a few days. Then I did indulge in whatever I wanted. A few weeks post
Master-Cleanse it was snickers & doritoes. At this point I have no more *cravings* & am dissapointed that my cravings thought stuff more enjoyable than the food itself turned out to be when I ate it. lol.
I've been trying to gain alot of weight back cuz my next fast will be very long & I weigh @ 100 now. I don't want to get below 90pounds as it's hard for me to gain weight.... I wasn't ready for the lifestyle changes that I NEED to make to help my health probs. But the first
Master-Cleanse helped me alot, and educated _ME_ that I NEED to alter my post
Master-Cleanse lifestyle. Yes, I read that & *knew* it, but my body-mind connection was off, so it didn't matter how many times I read it. The MC helped re-link my body-mind connection. Now they can agree together to move towards a healthy lifestyle. So, the MC helped just on THAT level. & I am making changes, getting a juicer, did a Liver Flush, etc. So that was a benefit. Plus it showed me just how much hunger is a mental thing, not physical. That is something you only learn by doing. And that's a benefit.
You said: ...*I know that the effects of the fast are just negated if you dont follow up w a good diet*.... But, the good effects are NOT negated. Cleansing out toxins is ALWAYS good. Resting your system is ALWAYS good. Even if you eat bad & put in more toxins, you have flushed out old stuff, & repaired some, making the body stronger. No matter how one *blows it*, there is always some good that will come out of trying, even if it's just a stronger determination, or a little rest from eating. Don't focus on the bad, look for the good.
You might want to try changing your diet BEFORE you do the MC..?.. At the very least that would help detox you some. & your determination to be healthy post-cleanse will be stronger. But, it's always a good thing to cleanse. :) ~Rebeckah
