I have been following this story very closely and I am trying to understand how something like this could happen in Arkansas.....the last place I would expect.
Thanks for commenting. This is an issue we all should take notice of. If you are like me, you wonder if more could be to the story than anyone is telling us....so we wait to see...we hesitate before feeling sure in our minds about it because surely there was good reason for this to happen....right?
More and more we are hearing stories like this that never leave you with the feeling you understand what has truly happened. Nothing adds up. We question what is the real reason...the most important reason anyone would put a family through something like this.
There are still conflicting reports coming out explaining what the true reason was. Was it due to Miracle-Mineral-Supplement ? That was what was first reported. Was it someone in the sheriff's office that worried that the family was a religious cult that was using a substance wrongly? Who reported the father using Miracle-Mineral-Supplement ? They would first need to receive a notice from someone to even start the process of looking into all of this.
As most americans my mind keeps looking for a reason. Did one of the teenagers or older children call and report them for some reason and the media is not told this part? Could the father have given testimony to one of his neighbors about how Miracle-Mineral-Supplement helped him feel better and they looked it up on the internet and saw a different bit of information that gave warning to it's use?
How many of us on curezone use something that could be placed in the same book as MMS? I do. You know that for years there was deep debate about whether calcium hydroxide was dangerous or not. I have taken it for most of the years I have been here at curezone with excellent results. But if you look it up on the internet you will find all types of warnings about it being hazardous to one's health...even though it is used in our orange juice and even baby formulas in small amounts, just the same way one would use it to mix it to balance out an acid in any health remedy.
I feel this is something we must stand up to. If not we will lose all rights to find health for ourselves. And at the same time I question....was that really the issue?....or the excuse, that was used for another reason that they can not legally justify?
Judge Wade Naramore reportedly ruled today in Juvenile Court in Garland County Arkansas that the Stanley Family children could not go home. Friends and relatives of the Stanley family in Arkansas have issued the following statement on the Bringthestanleykidshome Facebook Page:
The Judge ruled that there is probable cause to temporarily keep the children. There will be another hearing on Feb. 12th. No one is allowed to speak about what has happened in the court room. The Lawyer said he was not surprised. The prosecution had time to put their case together, the defense was given less than 24 hours. He said we now have time to get our case together. Hal and Michelle will have visitations with the children. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
20 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE UN CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD
Ten things you need to know about the structure of the CRC:
It is a treaty which creates binding rules of law. It is no mere statement of altruism.1.
Its effect would be binding on American families, courts, and policy-makers.2.
Children of other nations would not be impacted or helped in any direct way by our ratification.3.
The CRC would automatically override almost all American laws on children and families because of the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause in Article VI.4.
The CRC has some elements that are self-executing, while others would require implementing legislation. Federal courts would have the power to determine which provisions were self-executing.5.
The courts would have the power to directly enforce the provisions that are self-executing.6.
Congress would have the power to directly legislate on all subjects necessary to comply with the treaty. This would constitute the most massive shift of power from the states to the federal government in American history.7.
A committee of 18 experts from other nations, sitting in Geneva, has the authority to issue official interpretations of the treaty which are entitled to binding weight in American courts and legislatures. This effectively transfers ultimate authority for all policies in this area to this foreign committee.8.
Under international law, the treaty overrides even our Constitution.9.
Reservations, declarations, or understandings intended to modify our duty to comply with this treaty will be void if they are determined to be inconsistent with the object and purpose of the treaty.10.
Ten things you need to know about the substance of the CRC:
Children would have the ability to choose their own religion while parents would only have the authority to give their children advice about religion.13.
The best interest of the child principle would give the government the ability to override every decision made by every parent if a government worker disagreed with the parent’s decision.14.
A child’s “right to be heard” would allow him (or her) to seek governmental review of every parental decision with which the child disagreed.15.
According to existing interpretation, it would be illegal for a nation to spend more on national defense than it does on children’s welfare.16.
Children would acquire a legally enforceable right to leisure.17.
Christian schools that refuse to teach "alternative worldviews" and teach that Christianity is the only true religion "fly in the face of article 29" of the treaty.18.
Allowing parents to opt their children out of sex education has been held to be out of compliance with the CRC.19.
Children would have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent.20.
Parents would no longer be able to administer reasonable spankings to their children.11.
A murderer aged 17 years and 11 months and 29 days at the time of his crime could no longer be sentenced to life in prison.12.
Many of you have posted and talked about Christopher's interview with the press. Please remember he is 19 and an amazing young man, extremely smart, we dearly love him. Some of his views are because he is still young some are because he has different religious views to that of his parents and that shapes his views. At 19 I did not agree with my parents, then once I had my own family I learned many things my parents did were out of love and protection. Michelle has issued a statement she would asked me to post on this topic. Once again thank you for all your prayers and support.
"Regarding the interview with our oldest son on Arkansas Matters Thursday, or any other interview with him as far as that goes, I feel it is unfair for the report to leave out the fact that our son is agnostic and this greatly shapes his opinion on the way we raise our children. That being said we love our son and are understanding of his views."
Actually they are not, if you are referring to being affiliated with a church. They not only home school, but also home church.
Now if you are talking about each one of us being born into the corporation of this nation, and being owned lock, stock and barrel...then I would say yes they are in a physical sense. So the world turns...but those that are believers of Christ are not of this world. We have been bought and paid for...no longer slaves in the spiritual sense. They can't own that.
