Thank you for sharing your story. I am looking for help for my husbands bouts of Afib. He had 3 bouts of Afib in 2014 and was put on 5 additional heart meds. Hubby is more allopatic and I am more holistic so I am sad about those prescriptions and looking for natural ways to help his heart. He has been told he has no signs of heart damage, blockage or disease. He has had high blood pressure for 20 plus years controlled most of that time with high blood pressure medication.
On the advice of a health consultant I got the book "Is your Cardiologist killing you?" by Dr.Sherry Rogers and got my husband taking Magnesium that she suggest for Afib and even gave his cardiologist a copy and got him to run a (RBC) magnesium test which came back on the low side of normal so we are working to get that up to the top range which Dr. Rogers recommends.
My Health Consultant suggests taking up to loose stool dose and then backing off one pill. Hubby is taking RelaxaMag from Wellness Resources, I am taking Pure Encapsulations Magnesium (glycinate) and 1/2
oz of Angstrom Calcium 22.50 mg/ Magnesium 45 mg. and we both use about 275-300 mg trans-dermal Magnesium Chloride from Dr. Shealy’s Magnesium Lotion Spray. I've upped my levels as well but I always have issues trying to find the right ratio between cal/mag- when I go tinkering with it I get leg cramps might be a Vit D or an potassium thing- don't know.
Anyway my point is for all folks especially Afib sufferers to make sure they have their magnesium levels in a good range using the (RBC) Magnifier test to monitor - the plain usual blood serum test is useless. The (RBC) mag test while not perfect is the best test we have. Still you have to insist to get them to run it.
Hubby has not had a bout since he has been taking 600 mg a day. We are very grateful to God for our finding this out and I hope this information helps you and others who might see it.
