Dr. Jeff,
I have read many contradictory stances on the following items, I am hoping you can lend your expertise.
Alcohol: yeasts eat the sugar and produce carbonation and alcohol, if there is no sugar left then how does it feed Candida. I know some beers and wine(especially champagne) have live yeasts added again before bottling. What about hard liquor? That's completely distilled so it's pure alcohol.
( I work in the Restaurant Business so I have to taste wine, beer, liquor all the time. )
Corn: I know carbs, if unused, are made into sugar and stored in the body. Corn has carbs but it's not like eating a bowl of pasta. I have GMO corn which I use to make Masa (tortillas).
Alternate Flour: I also use chickpea flower to make Naan (flatbreads). I want to start using coconut flour and other alternates without adding Sugar or Yeast.
When it comes to Corn or Alternate Flours, I don't buy any of these products, I make them at home. It's supper tough not to eat bread. If I'm really hurting I do buy Rye with no added yeast. Ideally I should have no grains but it Rye my best option? Thank you so much.
