its almost impossible to live in america and live like a perfect human being. you have the idea in your head and know what you should and should not do, but sometimes it's not always as easy as making a "choice".
especially when you have no idea or control over what goes into your food and water supply or even consumer products that get used every day.
anyone born before 1978 - maybe even a few after that will have lead poisoning to some degree and anyone who's ever had fillings will have mercury to some degree. half the kids in my youngest child's kindergarten class have a mouth full of mercury already at age 5. the year before i was born, a nuclear power plant near by had a melt down and 35 years later, there is still evidence of radiation poisoning in plants. if mutated freak dandelions are still growing everywhere, imagine what's in the food that's been grown.
i know a majority of people are against government regulations and such, but without someone stepping in like they did in other countries to ban this and that... there could never be a perfect race of humans. the generations these days are too dumb to make better choices for themselves and most don't care. look at the shit storm that bloomberg caused by banning extra large soft drinks.
but for those who know better and try to make better choices, it's a lost cause because nobody really knows what's in the food and what's gmo and what isn't.. and just because it's gorwn organic, doesn't mean it's clean. all you need to be certified organic is to be x miles away from factories or any sources of pollution. nobody really even polices it.
