Sorry I have been absent for a while, but I am studying virology, something which touches on all sorts of chronic ailments.
I have a "thought" for those who suffer from constant loose bowel movements, diarrhea, and gas.
Despite parasites, there may be relieve of symptoms based on this theory:
Allergies cause mast cells to release histamines, which can cause dehydration and inflammation of mucus membranes. The bowel system is made up of mucus membrane, and can therefore be reactive to allergens, and other antigens causing irritation (like parasites). Antihistamine and vitamin C can reduce the histamine "load" on the body, and thus may reduce symptoms.
Histamine released by mast cells in the bowel could alter bowel chemistry, and also kill off bacteria. This may result in chronic dysbiosis. This condition may lead to digestive problems due to enzyme imbalances, like lactose deficiency.
So by all accounts if you are symptomatic, antihistamine, vitamin C, an anti inflammatory and enzymes, particularly lactase and a good probiotic should significantly reduce symptoms, and calm the gut.
