Well, this past week marked my FIVE YEAR Mirena removal anniversary, so like every year, I wanted to check in and update you all. The only residual effects that I still deal with are that I never regained the lost vision in my right eye, I still deal with "air hunger" periodically, and my lower back is crap. I have to say, though….I'll take it. It's soooooooo much better than where I once was with the heart problems, debilitating anxiety attacks, insomnia, inability to use/feel my hands, dizziness to the point of falling over, etc.
Keep going, ladies. You are doing so great. I'm still here with you all. Love you!

This is a reply to # 2,203,477Hi. So I am going through this hell. I had my mirena removed 3 months ago after having it for 4.5 years. I crashed bad 1.5 weeks after I had it removed almost lethargic. Thought I was better but I knew it was to good to be true. Anyways I want to email you if possible. This is a reply to # 2,203,477Great to read something positive. I am 5 weeks post and going through hell. Its nice to know it gets better no matter how long it takes. This is a reply to # 2,203,477Christie, did you have problems with sex drive? If so did it come back? I am 2 1/2 years post removal and for the most part am ok. However I do have lingering bouts of anxiety, especially with I get my period and some minor sleep issues around period time too, not always though. This is a reply to # 2,203,477Hey there. I just came back today after being away for a few years. So wonderful to read this update! I am 3 1/2 years after removal. I feel FABULOUS, yet I still get air hunger too sometimes. I can go for a vigorous fast walk and feel fine, yet I can be sitting in my bedroom at night and get the air hunger :-) So strange, but hey, like you said, after what we went through I will live with it.
So good to year this - there is light at the end of the tunnel.
