I want to go back to Lugol's because Iodoral is so expensive. As I was figuring out how much I will need, I realized I got it all wrong to begin with. Prior to switching to Iodoral, I was taking 24 drops Lugol's 2%.
That is 24 X 2,5 mg Iodine = 96 mg iodine.
Then I started Iodoral 12.5 mg and currently taking 9 caplets.
That is 9 X 5mg Iodine = 45 mg iodine.
It is half the dose! Do I need to take 18 caplets a day until I finish my bottle???
Also, how many drops are there in a 2oz/60ml bottle?

This is a reply to # 2,195,830Hi Lexi, there are 600 vertical drops per ounce.
If you are taking 9 tablets of Iodoral, you were getting 45mg of Iodine / 67.5 Iodide per day. Lugol's 2% is usually 2.5mg of Iodine per vertical drop, so you are correct that you would need 18 vertical drops.- Re: Help a conversion puzzled Lexi2014

I was taking 24 drops prior to switching to caplets. I realize now I'm not taking enough caplets, I unknowingly reduce my dosage… ;0)
So I have 1200 drops in a bottle, thanks!

I think this is better… it's 60mg, not 96!
That is 24 X 2,5 mg Iodine = 60 mg iodine.
Then I started Iodoral 12.5 mg and currently taking 9 caplets.
That is 9 X 5mg Iodine = 45 mg iodine.

SSKI 2% - 30mg of Iodide and 600mcg of Iodine in every drop. take it by the dropper full.- Re: Help a conversion puzzled Lexi2014

This is a reply to # 2,195,936I know. It's crazy expensive here. Around 140$ a bottle. Can't take SSKI for now. Will stick to Lugol's. :0)
