Long winded post ahead, please be patient:
About two weeks ago, I had difficulty falling asleep, I was trying to meditate myself to sleep but instead ended up jerking myself to wakefulness. I didn't sleep well that night, or the next.
At some point I found myself in fight-flight mode constantly. My heart palpitating and my chronic stress rising to a level before unseen. This went on for about a week with me getting little-to-no sleep, except in the form of collapsing into unconsciousness a few hours here and there.
I ended up going to the ER and getting prescribed Seroquel(200 mg nightly) and Depakote(750mg nightly) to help with my racing thoughts and anxiety. I myself plan on talking to my psychiatrist about lowering the dosage.
I have been sleeping on the stuff, once I fall asleep, I usually sleep for a good length if I haven't consumed any fluids recently. The sleep isn't restful though and though I'm not as hyper-vigilant as before, I still have to work to not fight against the thoughts and sensations that I come across.
I'm taking vitamins right now, high 2000 mg of vitamin C, Natural Calm Magnesium, a multivitamin, vitamin D3, yet I still feel incredibly tired, even though I've only been up a few hours.
I've been forcing myself to stay up, even though it makes my adrenaline surge, in order to get my body a cemented bedtime.
I think I'm dealing with something to do with my adrenals, (the blood tests they took at the hospital came up fine though).
I've ordered some adrenal support herbs and I'm rather lost to be honest. I'll probably try to have the saliva test done and do what I can to keep taking my vitamins and otherwise take care of myself.
My patience has been worn to almost nothing, I'm finding it difficult to get through each day.
I could use some advice, and maybe some support. Or some direction to be pointed towards.
I've ordered GABA, L-theanine and Taurine, in the hopes that they may help. They might be a little risky though with the prescription drugs I'm now on.
If anyone needs some elaboration on my symptoms I'll be sure to let you know what you want to know.

Hi Wander,
As "grist for your mill," are you aware of the almost miraculous results many tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people have experienced, dealing with most of the physical health issues known to humankind, from ingesting the universally powerful antioxidant, ascorbic acid?
You mentioned that you are ingesting two grams of vitamin C currently, but the important question is: Is it enough? My guess is: Not even close!
If you are seriously interested in finding a solution to your health problem(s), and gaining better health in all areas of your body, I encourage you to read [at least the first ten paragraphs of] this article, written by Dr. Robert Cathcart, M.D.
