sorry, mouse over feature comes with a cost, cost too expensive for new visitors.

Just 2 years ago 75% of curezone visitors were using computers with a mouse on a fast internet, 19% were using mobiles and 6% were using tablets.

No laptops were sold with a touch screen, and most computers used mouse or mouse pad.

It was natural to implement that feature, considering huge majority could beneft.




But, the cost of that feature is a huge forum page size.

When the feature was implemented, it increased the total size of an avreage forum page 3-5 times.

That means 3-5 times longer download time on slow networks.




Today, only 46% of visitors are using computers, not al of them with a mouse, while 41% are using mobiles, and 13% are using tablets.



Mobiles and tablets are quite often on "slow" mobile networks, strugling long time to download heavy forum pages.


Mobiles don't have a mouse, so no real benefit from mouse over, only disadvantages.


And, they are now the new majority on CureZone.


So, the new curezone pages are now 3 times faster, and are more directed toward the new majority, mobile users.


I will see if I could work on serving differnet pages to mobiles, and different pages to computers, but that would increase server load.




Windows 8 and most of the new laptops sold today come with a touch screen, adding to the list of those who don't benefit from mouse over.
