I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I'm at a total loss of what to do and couldn't find anything similar in the forum so far.
I'm trying to understand how I can feel wired, anxious and panicky if my adrenals are fatigued? Wouldn't I just want to sleep all the time?
How can tired adrenals be making my thyroid become over active?
Why would I suddenly go from sleeping 9 hours a night to waking up between 1 and 3 am everyday and not getting deep sleep even when on valerian?
It all started earlier this year, I started to feel constantly and unreasonably stressed (e.g I woke up freaking out about if I should shower or eat first). Then I started getting really shaky if I didn't eat enough - I was needing to eat so much to stay fine, then I got inflammation in all my chest cartilage and just felt exhausted all the time.
So I went to the doctor and my thyroid test showed my TSH at 0.33 so she said I needed to go on anti anxiety meds as by this point I was having panic attacks over nothing.
I then went to a naturopath who checked my saliva in the morning and did something to my eyes and said my adrenal glands were angry.
I have way too much oestrogen and hardly any progesterone but my cortisol is only 21.7 which he said is healthy.
He put me on some pills 3 x a day called adaptan and when I take them I am fine and feel normal unless I'm in a stressful situation. If I miss one though I get jittery and wired especially at night.
I feel like a mess and just don't understand how anything works or where to even begin to start healing. I was in such a terrible mental state with the docs that I couldn't ask questions.
