That may be so, but by the time people get into severe adrenal fatigue the adrenal glands can be damaged. When aldosterone is low, drinking plain water can make electrolyte imbalances worse. Salted water would work though.
I am not sold at all on the idea of drinking gallons of water. I don't think this happened as humanity was evolving/reproducing over the ages. Sufficient water content from foods, fruits, vegetables, soups etc. is how things were done, with a little water drinking on the side.
For example look at the success of people in the dry fasting forum.
The frugivores don't drink much water if any at all. They get it all from their foods.
Constipation is at the root of almost every illness, depending upon how broadly you define it. Constipated bowels, constipated lymphatic system, constipated biliary system, constipated minds and constipated souls. Society is breeding and rewarding constipation. You can even get paid for being constipated enough if you become disabled.
It is SERIOUSLY difficult to reverse for some people, and just drinking more water is not the answer. You have to take a multi-faceted approach based upon detailed history and symptomology of the person.
I will not be outlining the many causes and solutions because I should be paid real money for the quality of my advice and most people here do not follow through anyway causing a waste of time on both ends :)
However most of the answers lie within the hallowed forums of curezone.
