I would surmise that both individuals undoubtedly feel spaced out, with serious brain fog.

That is so hard to say. I would imagine that having a condition where blood pools away from the brain would contribute to spaciness, but if you are thinking that the base cause of that pooling is fungal, who knows? Seems fungus is ultimately responsible for a lot of things, we are learning.
