Are you less active and have less energy?
Are you getting enough thyroid support, including selenium?
Remember when you kick up heavy metals they are likely to bind with the selenium in your body. This helps to defend your body from the HMs but also may leave you with less than optimal levels of Se for making T3 thyroid hormone.
I'm not suggesting that Se deficiency is the problem or even one of the problems. It is just one of many things to consider.
Over my 4 years of detox I've gained weight, some of which is clearly not wanted. However a followup bone density test reported very encouraging gains. This obviously will add some weight to bone.
I have a history of doing most of my exercise on the weekends. Since I take the detox medication and supplements (Cutler protocol) on the weekends and since I have more lethargy and fatigue with them, I don't feel like exercising or doing much of anything else! When I'm not doing detox I'm trying to catch up on my To do list--too busy to exercise!
