I recently read an excellent post on Sahabi Sweets FB timeline about the dangerous chemicals to avoid in bath and body care products the other day, so I thought I'd share. I make my own lotions to ensure that none of that toxic JUNK gets absorbed through my skin, but for those of you who still use commercial lotion brands, this should make you think twice. And for those of you who add essential/black seed oils to your store bought lotions, creams, and ointments, PLEASE make sure they're not replete with toxins and chemicals. One of the many things I've learned from my herbalist is how to care for my skin naturally, and I've never read the label of a commercial bath and body care product that didn't have some YUCKY ingredient in it! Remember, adding all natural products to toxic JUNK does not make the product beneficial by association!
READ the labels of any product you buy, especially if it's something you're ingesting or applying to your skin. It's not hard to find all natural products in stores or online, or you can make them yourself at home like I do! But, be wary of any website that does not disclose the ingredients of their so-called all-natural products, because if they're not disclosed, that means there's probably something to hide...TOXIC CHEMICALS!!! Many products will have slogans like "live naturally" etc on their packaging, and then you read the labels and find petroleum, paraffin, and mineral oils : (
