If you want to get worse, than eat a low carbohydrate diet. Low carb diets cause numerous issues.
If you do have adrenal problems, then getting plenty of uninterrupted sleep is essential. Low carbing is going to completely ruin your sleep most likely.
Quite a few paleo dieters suffer from sleep disturbances (insomnia). Even the healthy ones.
You may also be suffering from poor digestion, maybe even a little bit of constipation...Paleo will clog you up even more. Which, btw, are also symptoms of hypothyroidism.
I've been down the low carb road and it ain't worth it and by far made things worse for me.
Here's a snippet from the World Health Organization:
"An un
healthy Diet is one of the major risk factors for a range of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and other conditions linked to obesity. Specific recommendations for a
healthy Diet include: eating more fruit, vegetables, legumes, nuts and grains; cutting down on salt,
Sugar and fats. It is also advisable to choose unsaturated fats, instead of saturated fats and towards the elimination of trans-fatty acids."
As a matter of fact, I remember quite recently another member posting that paleo was one of the worse things you could do for dysthyroid.
