Hey guys,
I think its important to understand how we got EC in the first place to understand what course of treatment we should take. I doubt it is completely spontaneous for people and the only explanation I would have for spontaneous EC would be some type of psoriasis, eczema, or dermatitis. Otherwise there must be a cause that can be treated over a period of time, whether it be just leaving them alone or taking the proper diet and exercise.
For me my EC began towards the end of the summer of 2013. I was heading into school with a fresh head and I was ready to take it on to achieve a 3.5-4.0 gpa. However, over the summer I hadn't been taking care of myself properly, as I was not eating breakfast, working in 80-95 degree weather all day without hydrating myself properly, licking lips when they felt dry, and then drinking and smoking in 2-3 times a week. This was working for me for 2 months of summer, and then August is when I noticed people looking at me differently and I started getting a really bad taste in my mouth. By the time school came around I wanted to do well but my EC became such an embarrassment I started to skip class and stay home to stay out of the public eye.I rarely go out now unless its to see my close friends or to cvs to try a new remedy. My lips are now starting to clear up after I've started doing the candida diet, exercise, proper hygiene, and using Hylands Calendula Ointment and I will start oil pulling within the next week.
Sorry for the self-loathing but thats my story if anyone else would like to share to make more sense of why they have EC and what to do now.
