I very very much so, Appreciate any advice : ) I am finding a lot of info on how to treat an abscessed normal tooth, but I have an abscessed root canaled tooth. There is a black line around the bottom of it... I'm assuming its the dead "original" tooth underneath. The dentist said I could have a prosthetic one put in for $3200 and a denture for a little less. She also said I could call around to see if an oral surgeon (I think is the title she used) could save it by cutting off the crown and redoing it.

I don't want to redo my root canal... that thing was a huge pain in the ass and it took hours upon hours, appointment after appointment, and the dentists screwing up the mold over and over again and hurt for years afterwards. Now it is costing me my health. I'm not paying $3200 for a new tooth. I can't and I won't.

But, more importantly, I don't think that I should do anything she recommends. If I just have it pulled, she said the one above it way fall out and the one behind it may as well, is this true? I also have just, at the age of 26, finished getting my back bottom wisdom teeth in, they have very little room and I am supposed to get those taken out. If I get the tooth pulled, would I just have a big gross void space in my mouth to accumulate infection? Is there any way the wisdom tooth would push everything forward and fill the space. I know that sounds like magic... I guess tighten up the space... ugh... if I have it pulled and just visualize every night a new one growing, will that work!? No, I'm joking about that! Any input, pretty please : )
