Sure. Lyme disease in remission from a couple years ago after one year of
Antibiotic treatment.
Bioidentical hormone replacement initiated in 2011 when they were all in the gutter, Lyme disease dx at this time as well. Treated Lyme, follow up saliva test showed cortisol normalized, major improvement in hormones so much that they were now high, so we reduced hormones. Took another follow up saliva in Feb 2013 and stopped hormones when we realized that my hormones were still super elevated. For example, progesterone 825. Neurotransmitters were also elevated at that time, especially excitatory Glutamate at 256. So, stopping the hormones completely, my body regulated and felt great late spring and early summer. Ended relationship which increased financial stress and of course was highly emotional. Work stress increased exponentially at same time. Started feeling depleted more and more, sleep issues waking in the middle of the night really started to kick up (this was a recurring issue that I had experienced during the excitatory stimulation period the year before but started getting worse). Although on the verge of bankruptcy, I charged the cost of another saliva and neurotransmitter test. That's the one I got last week. My regular functional/integrative doc was unavailable, I was in complete breakdown when I posted AND once again I was feeling really frustrated and mad at our complete lack of medical support for these ABSOLUTELY REAL issues. Think my labs are in the car, but every Pharmasan Lab neurotransmitter value is LOW--GABA, Dopamine, Seratonin, Glutamate, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine. Blood pressure 88/60.
Integrative practitioner has me on Kavinace Ultra which has really helped in the last few days for sleep due to the ingredient which is precursor for GABA. I was already taking Phosphatidylserine before bed but now I'm taking a proprietary blend from neuroscience Calm CP which has the PS but a couple other cofactors. Also started me on a small dose of 5-HTP to begin rebuilding seratonin.
