OK, I’m back.
I’ve decided to write about my experience from a historical perspective because maybe it can help others who are just coming into this problem to recognize things that did not click for me until much later on.
The problem – Apparently I had horrific
Body Odor . I say apparently because I never smelt anything and to this day I cannot tell you with any certainty what I smelled of except I will repeat what I heard. The comments began with “what’s that smell? It stank (sp) in here! It smells (variously) of “socks”, “throw up”, “garbage”, “musty”, “dirty ass”, “a dead mouse” “weed” “shit” you get the idea.
In the beginning (Since I was confident of my hygiene practices) I always assumed that people were referring to the room in general. I remember one year (about 2 years ago) spending $200 or more on every kind of air freshener there is out there, from sprays to solid odor absorbers, baking soda, odor absorbing rocks etc… all year long I placed then everywhere in in my work room, but still much to my frustration the comments continued, furthermore I began to hear the comments in places other than the room where I usually hung out. By the end of that year it finally began to occur to me that maybe the smell was coming from me. I tried every which way from sniffing myself, my clothes, my beddings and room but I could smell nothing. What an utterly frustrating situation to be in.
