I think you should go for it Marionette! Do not wait for a cure go and accomplish your goals. My first year with fbo was in college. I learned different coping mechanisms like finding a quieter less trafficked library, staying away from people who would tend to make comments, bringing baby wipes, taking a shower after a bm, spraying perfume altho sometimes it bugs ppls allergies. I found it okay, I did meet some ppl altho I can't say we hung out outside school. I got involved in a study group which was fun at times. Getting involved in something like a volunteer or study group is good for those w/ severe bo, I know in my case I had a hard time meeting people there without it. I finished my degree in the end. Sometimes in crowded lecture halls I would sit at the back where there would be less people. Some ppl did call me names sometimes like in the summer when I was sitting right next to them and using a home-made organic deodorant and made a few comments sometimes but I brushed it off. My odor is severe tho, most ppl would not get so much comments. 90% of the time tho there was no comment about my odor.

going to college with Body Odor equals hell. It was the worst time of my life never made friends, never went to parties heck if I could have at least went to classes and the library and do group projects but even those things are major stressors with Body Odor . When even professors started making remarks I stopped going, my soul could simply not take it any more and after 4 years of college and one year remaining to get a master's I am a broken person with no hope whatsoever no aspirations in life and no future. I hoped to resolve this issue and go back but it's been 8 months spent in my house searching for a cure and who am I kidding it's time to end it once and for all.

My Situation

I don't want to be the one to tell you what you should do with your life. But, I definitely have to attest that college was a lot worse for me than highschool was. Just like someone else mentioned I didn't make any friends, people would always talk shit about me whenever they've seen me. Even professors and people who worked at the university( dorm supervisors, cafeteria staff, etc.) would talk shit about me exactly after I turned my back to them and walk away.

I felt incredibly lonely and depressed. Sometimes I would skip out on classes because I was so tired of hearing people talking about me. There were plenty of times where I didn't want to eat because if I did , then that meant I would have to go to the cafeteria and hear more ridicule and insults about me.

There was only a few moments where I had fun, the majority of my time in college it was filled with frustration, depression, anger, suicidal thoughts, and social anxiety. Not to mention that I hated my roommate with all of my being( I really wanted to kill that motherf***er).I got robbed of all my possesions in my bookbag(Its partly my fault because I left my bookbag in the lobby). I was failing class and it was hard for me to concentrate on classes when the teachers themselves didn't want to work with you. I can go on and on, but I'm going to stop right here.

Your situation

Your situation can be a lot different than mine. Keep in mind, the first two years I was at college I didn't how to control my odor. So I'm pretty sure if you have an ideal way to control it won't be bad. In addition, I don't know how bad you smell(or if you can smell yourself) so I don't know if you'll experience the same thing. I think if you go to a college with people who you consider friends and understand you situation. It will be a fun experience, even though you might have some bad times. Another thing that made the college experience bad was the fact that I was away from my family. So if you stay in close proximity of your loved ones then I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be as painful

Honestly I have yet to finish college because i can not stand the torment and hatred of other students. I did not even go back this semester even though I only have five classes left to get my degree. Honestly if you are built for it then go but its going to take a lot of mental strength.
