Why don't you just ask them and get their answer, instead of coming on her and asking others to second-guess why people you know in the "health field" (whatever that means), say what they say, when you have the opportunity to get the answer directly from them ??

Do you think people on here know more about why the people you know say what they say, than you can find out directly from those with whom you claim to have had discussions with ??

because getting healthy isn't going to be easy, some can't handle the detox, so they must blame something, so it's the iodine, or the herbs, the people on the forum, then some don't read the info already here and ask uninformed questions.

The Naysayers are correct. You cannot take Iodine by itself without getting some terrible reactions. These are called DETOX symptoms. You also cannot take Iodine without also taking selenium or you could suffer Hashimotos.
