I tried everything for my thyroid and taking
Iodine was the worst, it send me to
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome hell. And it was because my adrenals couldn't take the extra metabolism and stimulation from the thyroid, along with a hormonal imbalance i had. It was too much for it.
By doing NB and focusing on the biochemistry stuff (supplements)and now focusing on getting rid of an underlying viral infection, along with balancing my hormones, my thyroid is now i an much better state. I still have thyroid issues but at least it's now slowly improving on the lab tests. I do now take some kelp and tyrosine and selenium for the thyroid (ie nutrition for thyroid instead) and that seems to work as though i were taking thyroid meds, but in this case the thyroid takes what it needs instead of me pushing it externally with thyroid meds. I wouldn't ignore the thyroid completely though, as it needs attention otherwise it could drain the adrenals also, but i wouldn't focus on it alone. I would really get into fixing the biochemistry first and the thyroid will begin to heal and be able to utilise the minerals it needs. Good luck!
