can someone clear this up please.. every single one i have bought says ointment but the colour of it is actually white not like a clear vaseline colour can you guys please clear this up!
im starting to loose faith with my imuran :(
what im going to do during christmas period is just peel the lips but the whole month on jan im going to do healing and vunks thing constant moisturizeing with no peeling.. the problem i have is after 4 days of moisturizeing my build up just slides off with water or while im sleeping...
im going to use bepanthen mixed together with a little bit of vaseline and then also a hydrocortisone ointment...
my derm is switching me to methotrexate at end of february to see if slowing the skin cell turn over will improve this f***ed up god forsaken conditions thats f***ing anooying and f***ing ruining many of our lives!
anyways there my rant! have a good christmas guys!

This is a reply to # 2,134,076the one i have is witish. its actualy very white when you apply on lips but after 15-30minutes it is absorbed and your ips dont look white anymore.
BTW Jsl, you told me that your derm said you had fungal infection and then he gave you some medicine. did it clear your fungal infection? and did it affect your EC? do you still take it? Cheers!- Re: bepanthan ointment is it clear l... Healing2021

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,134,117Yeah my experience is the same as Maxime. And if your buildup just slides off on its own after a few days of moisturizing then thats fine. As long as its coming off without you ripping it off.
And it will take longer than a month if it is going to work. Why wont you just try it and stick with it!? It is like the easiest treatment ever. You're out here putting your health on the line taking drugs like Imuran and Methotrexate, yet you wont try the easiest and least risky treatment. Dude, just try it and stick with it!!!!!
To this day it is the only treatment that I have heard of that has shown improvement for multiple people!!!

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,134,157Ya JSL, Healing's right. You gotta stick it out for a couple months to really give yourself a chance to see any improvements. And if the skin falls off while you're applying it or while brushing your teeth it's fine. I just never let the hot shower touch my lips, brushed without letting my lips get hit and rinsed with cold water and saline solution, making sure to never manually exfoliate.

This is a reply to # 2,134,172Yeah JSL you just seem way to dependent on finding this miracle drug that you can just take and this will miraculously go away. Not everything in life is that easy. Sometimes you have to put time into it.
Im not sure what makes you think there is some miracle cure on the horizon. People have been talking about it for 10 years on here. I have some breaking news for you. ITS NOT COMING PEOPLE!!! There is absolutely NO research being done on this condition! 95% of dermatologist dont even know what it is for Christ sake
So if there is absolutely no research being done for this condition specificially, what makes you think there is some miracle cure that is coming? You keep talking about all these inflammatory medicines coming out that help eczema and Psoriasis etc. Yeah well I have another news flash. The treatments that help other inflammatory conditions like eczema and Psoriasis have not worked for EC!
Im sorry man, but if are just sitting around and waiting for a miracle cure then you are going to have EC your whole life. Just like the people on here 10 years ago waiting for the miracle cure. How far have we come on that?
Im sorry to say it man but you just seem like your looking for an easy fix. Thats the impression I get when I read your posts. And it aint gonna happen! Until you read about research being done for this condition then those articles dont mean shit for us. By now it should be clear to you that this condition differs from those other inflammatory conditions!

This is a reply to # 2,134,393LOL your funny sometimes healing! number one treatment for eczema is constant moisturization! and what do you know thats what your telling everybody is the best treatment.. so i dont know how you say eczema treatments dont work on ec.. ?????????????????????? and how on earth can you say the future wont hold 100% cures for inflammatory conditions you dont know the future dude.. sorry but no one does..
