I have Seb Derm all across my cheeks, nose, jaw, and scalp. I get the build-up of greasy scales/flakes very quickly and I find myself having to remove them constantly. If I leave my face alone for 2 weeks it builds up to a visisble mask of scales.
I've been removing these scales by hand, without water. My skin has actually gotten a lot better in the last couple of months via this method, it's gotten a lot stronger and less inflamed, it seems as though keeping the scaled/build-up off has allowed my skin to rebuild.
But now I'm wondering if there's a better way to keep the scales off, without removing them by hand with no water. Should I use something like
Sea Salt or Apple Cider Vinegar?
I'm in the midst of healing the dermatitis at the core (candida/leaky gut), but while things heal internally I need a better way of keeping my skin under control topically. It's the dead of winter over here and my face gets so red and frozen when I go outside it's truly awful. I want to be more gentle on my face, I don't want to keep scrubbing it with my fingers all the time, but I need to keep the scales off.
