Hello,
I'm new to this forum. I would like to get some input on what NB Practitioner to go with. I am HIGHLY sensitive due to damage from a class of meds called Benzodiazapine's, so I am unfortunately not like the majority and can take tons of supplements and be fine or many for that fact. I've tried and they all rev my symptoms and they are not easy one either.(breathlessness, inner vibrations, increased tinnitus, agitation, burning in nerves throughout body, muscle pain, scalp tenderness, throat tightens, ect)
I would like to work with someone that has had a good result record and experience, has a good demeanor and isn't hard to reach when needed. I spent so much money and time trying to fix myself and I am just skittish.
Most doctors Natural or otherwise are NOT familiar with benzodiazapine and antidepressant damage. They do not recognize the symptoms. Most think it is a state of mind or that when it's out of your system you will be fine. NOPE
I would have never known myself though had it not happened to me. So, I guess I can not expect all to know when only out of the whole population we are probably in the 10 thousands or so.
So, any guidance would be greatly appreciated in finding a really good NB practitioner.

I work with Pam Killeen and really like her. She has a lot of experience. She is pretty responsive.
She maintains a Facebook book group, which is very helpful. It allows us to all learn from each other, and when she answers one person ... we all benefit.
One of the curezone member "hopeformyadrenals" used to have a really hard time taking supplements. She used the "biotuner" for a couple of months and then found she was able to handle the supplements.
One nice thing about NB is that there is generally no herbs.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,131,863She used to be. She is one of the most experienced. She is not phobic of fats like Dr Wilson, and she recommends more of a Weston Price type, low carb, Paleo diet. Dr Wilson recently took her off his site because of this.

*hugs* Another benzo victim - I am too, with exactly the same array o symptoms (now lasting over a year since the last benzo and AD).
Be very careful with these practitioners - I was harmed twice by them , as you said, they have absolutely no concept of a benzo victims state. I react to all supplements heavily, and the last NB practitioner I ended up in hospital (wilson approved practitioner) and im still 'coming down' off a glandular they gave me.
Interview the practitioner, dont give away an answers and see if they understand the condition. But remember, these practitioners are not 'qualified' in a sense of the word like a natural doctor or a real MD, some do an online course to gain NB status. You can do this yourself - it might be better to learn these things and treat yourself rather than paying someone , who has no real 'insurance'.
Feo is right about the Bio Tuner - its one of the most helpful things I have in my tool box against this hell! Definitely worth a purchase.
I will be burned for saying this on this forum, but I have to look out for other benzo victims, we have been through more pain and suffering than anyone can ever imagine!

This is a reply to # 2,131,877Ahw, (((HUGS))) Back to you, we unfortunately a commonality that is a rare group. No one understand how damaged we are from these meds. Our whole bodies are completely raw.
Thank you for reaching out to me. I know another fellow benzo victim that is seeing Pam Killeen and he's doing pretty good. He is going very slow though and taking minimal supplements. It's funny because i already am making a list to interview them as I had the same thought. I wish Dr Wilson himself would take me but he wouldn't. He actually knows about the damage these meds do. (Sigh)
I've been 18 months free but still suffering.

Hi Shelly! Welcome to NB!
I was on heavy psyc meds and benzo's for 14 years. I understand fully the damage that these meds do to a person. I am now fully healed and living a completely normal life.
You can click on my avatar to read about all that I have done to get well. It has taken me 6 years.
I would suggest that you give Morley Robbins a try as he has a very active forum and has now done over 500 hair analysis. He uses TEI which is the lab and protocol which helped me the most while doing NB. My family and clients all are having good results using TEI.

You don't know how much your reply was needed. It gives me hope. I am 18 months out , I was really bad from the beginning but we had toxic mold in our home so focused there.
It's so hard picking the right practitioner, Some like ARL and some TEI. i actually did not think it would be this hard.
I'm going to check out the group and I look forward to seeing your latest results.
So, were you sensitive to the supplements too when you started?

This is a reply to # 2,131,906Yes I did have a difficult time tolerating the supps. When I first started I could only handle 2 of the 3 daily doses. The minerals will start to push out toxins, heavy metals and old drug residues. I did much better with the TEI protocol and not taking any calcium. You can read through my history for more detail of what I went through.

Doing ok.
Metals just keep climbing and climbing. Mercury, copper, aluminum. I seem to be getting rid of them at a faster rate.
I believe my ability to clear toxins continues to improve. I no longer have lite colored bowel movements. (it was scary when they were almost white a few years ago and I knew that meant little toxins were be eliminated).
Still have some detox symptoms (eczema, psoriasis). But I'm ok with that. All in the name of progress.
Keep enjoying life ! And if you can find time once in a while, keep stopping by. Your inspiration story helps people when they start to wonder if it is worth all the effort.

This is a reply to # 2,131,911I'm going to answer you here. Spend some time on the Mag forum reading through posts. Call Morley and interview him. Listen to your gut. Best to interview several practitioners and see how they resonate with you.
I have done many different things to heal myself. NB is not a magic bullet and will not work if you have not eliminated most of the physical and emotional stressors in your life. Imho the foundation should be your diet and healing your gut. If you have gut infections that go untreated it will be next to impossible to heal yourself.
