Has anyone else seen the new book out last month by Dr. Hahn of Wisconsin? It is called "A Cure for Asthma" and is published by People's Pharmacy (can't find it on Amazon so far). It is a great book so far, and it covers a theory on asthma I have been reading about for a few years now. The theory goes that asthma is in many cases caused by an infection that the body never gets rid of completely. The culprit tends to be chlamyida pneumoniae, which can apparently hide inside of cells and come back later. The treatment is with a weekly dose of azithromycin for 12 weeks, maybe longer for some people. There are other doctors researching/using this as well, and they have good results in it.
I'm curious if others have read or followed this treatment protocol. There is also a website for one of the people cured by this called asthmastory.com

I have not seen the book but I did read that website. I liked that theory bc it made sense for me. When my asthma is acting up I fell like there is something live in my chest. I thought maybe mold. I talked to my dr about giving me the long course of Antibiotics and she said she would agree but would like me to take probiotics for a little prior. I changed my mind about it though as I think the damage of Antibiotics could outweigh the benefit. Garlic is a really great Antibiotic but I wonder too, just because its natural doesn't mean its good to have every day or that it wont wipe out all life just as badly as a pharmaceutical antibiotic.
