To look at some of these filaments you'd think they were made of spun glass. They do kind of remind me of the glass artists at the fair, who made liquid glass looking ships etc...

These are some micro images of hyphal filament threads I find from my person and environment. There are different stages/structures of the fungal life cycle that look like they are just "pouring" themselves.
