Hi, I have tinnitus and sometimes it worse than other times. I have not found any remedy so far but here are a few things that I would recommend: See if nightshade vegetables affect your tinnitus. These are potatoes, tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, tomatillos, tamarios, pepinos, pimentos, paprika, and cayenne peppers. These cause inflammation!
Regarding noise from blood rushing by the ear, I had noticed the same thing and it happens if I eat a lot of salty foods, like pizza. When there is too much salt ingested, the body will accumulate it in the tissue to keep the blood stable. Probably just due to osmosis. The salt is accumulated together with water, causing swelling of the tissue, which in turn can restrict blood flow. Drinking lots of reverse osmosis water will flush the salt out of the body, also rebounding will help to drain the lymphatic system.
I am using 'Zeta Aid' from Dr. T.C. McDaniel's website, tcmcdaniel.com. It strengthens the Zeta Potential in the blood and keeps everything nicely dispersed. It prevents heart disease and
kidney stones from forming. He will celebrate his 100th birthday this May! It got rid of my arrhythmia and may have helped a little with my tinnitus. I am only using it once a day and not 3x a day as recommended by Dr. McDaniel but I am going to try the higher dosage.
This rushing sound may also indicate dehydration, so be sure to drink enough water. It may come from a misaligned neck, which may also be responsible for the tinnitus. When my neck hurts, the tinnitus is usually also higher. My tinnitus is like a high-pitch screeching sound, not a single tone. I had it for many years. I also notice that when the weather turns 'bad', and a low pressure system is approaching then it is getting really bad. When I watch TV (at 'normal' sound level) or drive my car for a while, the tinnitus will increase, sometimes the next day (from nightly watching TV).
