Not trying to take away the severity of anyone's sickness but I am suffering from the original ME, before it was melded with the
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome diagnosis- a very severe debilitating neurological disease which was commonly called atypical MS or atypical Polio. It is almost nothing like CFS, I have very severe autonomic dysfunction, horrendous exercise intolerance, POTS, a multitude of neurological symptoms but the bigget one- very serious and measurable brain damage. This is absolutely not brain fog- i have organic damage which is causing severe memory loss, cognitive dysfunction, severe dissociation, lack of relation to time and place and borderline psychosis/dementia. It is absolute hell and I am bedbound. Doing as much as walking a few blocks will cause me to have a permenant relapse in brain and nervous system function to which I never recover from. It's hard to find people who have this disorder and not a fatigue syndrome so I'm trying to reach out. Mine started from encephalitis. Anyone else here battling this?
