I am very overweight. Obese actually. I'm 27, 5'0" and weigh 233
lbs. I should be weighing around 110-115 for my height and body frame. I had a child last year and gained a lot of weight, plus more when I was on the birth control pill and then later the birth control shot. Both messed me up really badly and I gained about 20 lbs total from being on that shit despite not eating more than I usually did at that time.
Back in 2011, I lost 70 lbs in 4 months from fasting. That was right before I got pregnant with my daughter.
So now I am trying to lose weight again by fasting, but I'm having a hard time getting motivated. My blood pressure is high and my doctors drum it in my head that I need to lose weight (as if I don't already know). The skinny nurse practitioner suggested weight watchers, but I can't afford a program like that nor do I have an interest in it. I want to lose weight the way I did before. I've also struggled with eating disorders throughout my life, so I have to be careful.
Any tips for preparing for a water fast? I'm not sure yet if I want to do a total water fast, or maybe allow some juice. I am just trying to get back into my natural lifestyle because I know it works. Also torn between whether or not to stay on my blood pressure medicine while fasting. I know fasting alone will lower it, so I don't want to keep taking the medicine and have it get too low, ya know? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks :)
