Hello! I'm still jobless because of my bodyodor. Whenever I apply, applicants give me weird looks and laugh because I smell terribly and some make absurd and hurtful indirect comments. I try applying to callcenters because I couldn't contain my embarrassment of applying into a prestigious company then the HR would give me like 'wow, you have guts' look and told me that they will just call me. I mean I pass the exam and the interviews but one thing is stopping me and its my odor. I've been unemployed for 5 months and starting to lose hope. My parents is asking me why can't I get a job. I can't tell them I have BO because I'm trying so hard to hide it. But eventually my Depression increases because of this problem. I wanted to ask if you guys do have a job? Here in my country, BO or foul smelling people is very very unusual, I mean very. They don't know what to do when a person's smell because it's like their first time encountering that. And for a 20 year old woman, it's like 'did your mother ever taught you how to bath?'
It hurts and I cry everyday because of it. It really is a cruel world =(

This is a reply to # 2,101,792Many of us who have a job can tell you it's not easy. It's constant direct and indirect comments on a daily basis. And you have to do your job better than anyone else, because they're trying to find some excuse to get rid of you. If they don't want to fire you because they don't want to pay unemployment, then they'll try their hardest to turn the screws on you so you do quit.
Try to find a job where you're not in the same enclosed area 8 hrs. of the day. If you can keep moving from area to area, that would be good.
Start on one of the diets of fruits, veggies, and little meat people are talking about. It works but you have to give it time. It will take 1-6 months to get rid of the odor but you have to be persistent and not quit.

This is a reply to # 2,101,803All the earlier responses and advice is true! You have to take meat out of your diet significantly. It's sooooooooo hard to keep a job with this condition. It's tough, anybody will tell you that . Ppl will use your condition to hurt you and make you quit. Avoid those ppl at every turn, and ones you can't ignore or avoid , just do the best you can to limit the amount of time u have to be around them. Whatever they say, learn from it. Pay attention to what they say you smell like and then you will know what you need to work on. You have to face it at some point but don't let them see that what they are saying is hurting you. If you already know you smell, and you are going your best to keep it under control, and pray that you get better at coping with your condition and that God will heal you at some point. Tell your parents, they can help you. You should trust them to help you get the help you need. Hang in there. You have friends here if you want to talk more about it.

This is a reply to # 2,102,482Yes I'll try to remove meat and other dairy products in my menu especially chocolates =.( It's actually my fave but I have to control what I eat so my odor would not be worsen. People are truly cruel. Even though they knew you have weird condition and should not be a laughingstock in their time but still they would do anything just so they can say they are 'fortunate' on not having these problems. I say they are the worst. Hope for the best BhsiadRD! God help us all =)

This is a reply to # 2,101,803Should I be on marketing department where I deliver and sell things? I'm having a hard time applying because of this and also fear and doubt. I try managing my food intake and I read some in this forum that it takes time to remove my BO. I pray to God that he give me strength to go along with life. Best of luck for all of us! =)

This is a reply to # 2,101,792Sorry to hear about that, but you are doing the right thing by trying to find the reason behind the BO.
Definitely look into detox because usually BO is due to toxins in our bodies. Both my boyfriend and I smell better after detoxing the heavy metals .... detoxing heavy metals in gut will make private parts smell better, detoxing heavy metals from body will make body smell better, etc.
The top of my head still smells because I still have a lot of mercury in my brain. But I am persistant and will get it all out eventually.
