Posted on ZIOH, I put it here because so many seem to have trouble with Hashimoto's, apparently thinking that
Iodine is all that's needed.
As for her question about cancer, the evidence indicates that raw is the way.
"I've been on and off sick with a variety of things like hepatitis, enlarged thyroid, chronic pains in the stomach and spleen, heart palpitations and with possible heart attacks and heart failure according to a doctor friend, breathing problems, panic attacks, chronic dry skin. I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them at the moment. Come to finally find out, it's all autoimmune. My doctor said I had irreversable Hashimoto's. I told her give me three months and I'll cure myself. I was vegetarian and I started to cut out wheat at first. I was still reacting violently to "something" so I cut out all grains, then legumes. I was still reacting to my foods but started to dramatically improve in health. One by one, I experimented with a variety of fruits and vegetables to see what I was reacting to. I had to start eating meat because, frankly, I was running out of foods I can eat. As I ate meat, which beef is the only one I really feel good on consistently, I pretty well cut all other foods from my life. I can't even eat berries anymore. I seem to tolerate some mango and papaya - don't know why but that may change sometime soon too though I do very little of them. So except for the little fruit, I'm all about meat and water. It's been two months since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and I can feel my thyroid gland has shrunk to normal size and I don't have sore throats and can swallow normal again. In fact, all symptoms have disappeared except some pain in the heart area which I'm hopeful will get better (though, you know, medical
Science doesn't have much hope on damaged hearts). In one more month, I will see my doctor again and hope to make her a believer!
Most of these past two months, I've been going towards ZC just because my body has dictated that. Then I happened to find your forum as I have been researching Paleo-like stuff. So my point is, no one told me to go ZC but it's all through experience that I came upon it which is significant because there is not a placebo effect. I'm very encouraged to see others have had tremendous improvements as well.
The question I have for you is have you heard of anyone curing their own cancer without chemo and surgery and only doing ZC. "
