Hello Everyone,
I am pretty sure I am about to start my cycle soon as the anxiety and rapid heart beats are happening(usually a few days before I start)but I realized I don't think I am ovulating at all.
I have yet to see the EWM...I suffer from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome as well. I have a daughter and a few months after her birth 5 years ago, I had the Mirena inserted and got it taken out in January 2013.
Is it normal not to ovulate post mirena?
Me and my BF are not actively trying to get pregnant but were not taking any precautions either and nothing has happened, ie, im not pregnant.
The reason this concerns me is eventually I would like another. I get cramping and I get my period every month, but I know im not ovulating.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,086,504Have you ever tried one of those ovulation kits at the store? I'm not sure how they work, or if imbalanced hormones would skew the results. I used one many years (pre-Mirena) ago because I thought I wasn't ovulating either, but I guess I was.

This is a reply to # 2,086,600Have you had your hormones tested late in the cycle (day 21 by blood test) as these would tell you definitely whether you are ovulating. It may cost a bit more but at least you would definitely know one way or the other.

No, I have yet to get tested in that way.
The weird thing is, is that I get my period every month but its totally unpredictable.
I remember getting Egg white like mucus years ago, Im 27 now and I know I definitely havent gotten that since removal.
I live in Canada, so luckily testing like that is free, for now.
I guess if a baby is in the cards, ill welcome it, if not, at least I have my daughter!

It took me a good 11 months before I noticed I was ovulating again after removal. Now I find I am only ovulating every two or three months. I have had Mirena out for over 2 years now. I am, however probably older than you so I think it is bumping me into early "ish" menopause - or peri menopause.
