Hello,
Dealing with the problem of arthritic pain and occasional inflammation at the 9 years old golden retriever dog.
Thanx God, goldie survived two same time active tick borne diseases: boreliosis and anaplasmosis.
At the last detection vet test the dog was tested/detected as negative for boreliosis bacteria.
So in last few half an year, thanx God, he seemed to return in almost normal life conditions.
But there are periodically limping problems in front legs.
While observing this repetition it is the speculation that as anwser on weather changes ( before some raining fronts ). Specailly when weather or climate is humid and hot.
Sometimes those pain attacks are extreme so the goldie at those periods of time is walking very hard although he is good physical condition ( heart, likes hiking in woods, grassfields ) and try to hide pain, still he express the pain in the leg ( specially front right leg ). If giving him massage in joints then it can be sensed like slight bursts in joints. And he expressed like some pain releif when gently and proper massaging - just lie down and express voices of releif.
When in periods not being affected he is like normal. It is only that not so distanced hiking can be practices as used to be.
We are trying many remedies to support the releif of his joint pain. Main indicator if situation is better we use with the observation of his limping and sensing of bursts in his right front leg. In some of extreme pains we visited vet - where he is prescribed pain killer tablets.
But as part of every day supplements we are giving him daily or few times a week some remedies that showed at explicit periods as succeesfull remedy and now we do not know how and when to stop with it. But periodic front leg limping and probably accompanied pain still exists ( mostly at weather changes to hot humid weather or when he make some clumsy unpredicted move like jump or run for a ball and not properly ground or jump down from some obstacle.
So what are supplemenata remedies he is getting:
1. Samento dropplets ( cat claw ) - he is receiving that
since he was diagnosed with borreliosis. So not dare to
stop becase we were told it is also preventive and
keeping boreliosis in remission non-active form
2. salmon oil
it suppose to be good for joints
3. dog pills that are DE CLAREd as
glucosamin+chondritin+MSM+ester-C produced by Biovea.
4. occasionally put into the dog kibble
curcumin and/or Magnesium pills
It is idea to abandon some of this bunch remedies and make some change. But having no idea.
I last 2 weeks ( while it is season ) we gave him bee royal jelly. Which to some extent made him alive and again pretty
joyfull and strong. But when at some sudden point again limping and havy walking appears and his movement is limited just on few meters those days.
My question was ( since I read as here on Curezone as on other Web sources about DMSO ) about DMSO. Considering this as outside use remedy to put on the skin in the bursting joint area? But now havinf experiences nor confornting with controversional informations and experiences on Web sources.
So any of your experiences are mostly apreciated and usefull sources.
Considering how to use DMSO if use and if it is safe?
Should we shave his fur/hair first? Since it is told that DMSO is carrying into bloodstream everything that in on the way from the skin to inner parts underskin area to bloodstream?
DMSO suppose to have transmissional effect for matters bringing into bloodstreatm through skin. And also having dissolving characteristic. So figuring that maybe those curcumin ( curcumin/turmeric acid ) pills we could dissolve with DMSO and then put on the shaved joints area? Or magnesium pills dissolved same way? Or maybe even those glucosamin/chondiritin/MSM pills dissolved with DMSO and put on the joint?
There is another but not so obtrusive symptom on goldie's leg: calluses on his elbows. I wonder if those are related to arthrtitic/athrosis of joints - because the are areas are not all the time sames. Pain and bursts are sensed bellow the calluses. Calluses are dry and causign thanx GOd at the moment bigger problem.
Goldie used to be certificated as rescue dog and trained so it is was pretty shock for him not able to hike and being active as he used to be. So every return with him to the woods or bushes for hiking is accompanied with expressions joy and gratitude from him.
Thank you for any hint, specially your experiences of DMSO administering ( even in other scenariums like tumors ).
