Please don't get me wrong, I like the feel of getting T back into the center of the normal range. However *balance* seems to be the key when it comes to the many adrenal hormones.

I think pregnenolone, the mother steroid adrenal hormone, is so underrated. I think this is largely because doctors make almost no $ off of it!
For both a 40-something female friend and I, pregnenolone just feels so natural and youthful. My friend's functional medicine doctor did followup tests and she decided to also take a tiny bit of T cream with good effect. She is also on a tiny amount of hydrocortisone.
It seems that when people boost the sex hormone side too much with DHEA, etc, the stress hormone side seems to suffer.
Why not start with pregnenolone like mother nature does, retest, and then add downstream hormones as needed?
