When I was 19 I went on vactation at an all inclusive resort in Cuba with a bunch of my friends(most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, unreal trip).
The first full day I went on a pretty solid binge. I was so drunk that I couldn't for the life of me find my room. I ended up giving up and passed out on the beach(talk about a rough morning, mouth full of sand, wallet GONE, but that's another story).
Anyways, when I came home, I had got weird skin fungus(probly caught er that night on the beach). It was scaley, reddish patches all over my arms and upper body. The weird thing about it was sun couldn't penetrate the fungus so I had regular tanned skin, then these untanned white patches. When I went to the doctor, he told me it was a fungus and to try selson blue shampoo. I washed my skin with selson blue dandruff shampoo a few times and it COMPLETELY cleared up.
When I first got ec I was convinced it was a fungus, in fact if that fungus I had before found its way to my lips it would look a whole lot like my ec. I was always tempted to throw some selson blue on my lips but figured I should wait and see a doctor.
Anyways, maybe this fungus you speak of contributes to some cases of ec, who knows?
