I have posted a few topics on this section of Curezone, most of them consist of advice for myself and others with regards to the Mirena, it's side effects while inserted, when removed and the road to recovery.
For an update on my personal situation, check out my other posts, they are all in this section.
At present there is a direct relationship between my menstrual cycle and my symptoms. I feel at my best (normal for me) when my progesterone level is higher after ovulation, I have bad
Depression and anxiety the rest of the time, 2 panic attacks - one around ovulation and one just before my period (when my progesterone levels drop).
To give you an idea, I have never had
Depression or anxiety in my life, this only started after having it inserted. I currently attend CBT and have acupuncture, both of which slightly help the anxiety, however I very much feel that the anxiety is a physical symptom which goes up and down with my hormones.
I have been looking on line and I am thinking I may have estrogen dominance and/or low progesterone. Does this make sense? I am trying to understand why I feel better in the second half of my cycle after ovulation, when this is when most women are supposed to feel worse and have PMS.
Any information would be appreciated. Anxiety and
Depression are not my only symptoms but they are the two things that I hate, as they directly impact my relationship and feelings with regards to my partner.
