Audett
I've had headaches and neck, shoulder, upper back pain, most days since Sept 2012 and saw a chiropractor for a few weeks in Dec but didn't love him cracking my neck plus my insurance changed and I've yet to go back. I have though, been to acupuncture for 3 months, my primary care, a neurologist who did an MRI on my brain that came back normal but wants to put me on a blood press Rx for my "migraines" but I think they are related to my neck, which I've had issues with off and on since college (I'm 40 now and in otherwise very good health).
Can you please help me to decipher the x ray lingo and point me in the right direction of who to see next to help? Another chiro? Rheumatologist? Orthopedic? I live just south outside of Boston.
Thank you in advance!
Frontal and lateral views of the cervical spine are submitted. The cervical contour is mildly reversed. The C4, C5, C6 vertebral bodies demonstrate anterior trapezoidal configuration. As best as can be determined, there is no evidence of acute step defect or zone of compaction line apparent. This finding mitigates towards developmental wedging. Minute anterolateral osteophytic formation, mid cervical spine, with slight disc narrowing, C4 level. There is mild uncovertebral hypertrophy with facet joint narrowing, subchondral sclerosis and other bony proliferative changes, mid and lower cervical spine. There is no other significant osseous, joint, or soft tissue alteration apparent.
Impressions:
1) spinal biomechanical alterations noted
2) uncovertebral and facet arthrosis, mid and lower cervical spine
3) minute spondylosis, mid cervical spine with slight disc narrowing, C4
4) developmental wedging, C4, C5, C6 vertebral levels
Thank you again!!
