In my own personal journey in trying to figure out the cause of my symptoms, which is a hugely long list of pretty much all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue and anemia all rolled into one, I've had plenty of frustration. I've done well at times with many of the adaptive herbs, but it was never a cure for me, but a way to get by.
In this last year and seeing the condition of my fingernails just getting worse and worse with deep ridges in them and how they have curved and become so thin, I've realized that my problem may just simply be a nutrient deficiency.
After trying tons of supplements I have to admit the safest way to get your nutrients is from food, however just eating regular foods doesn't seem to be enough for my body to recover.
What seems to really be helping me is taking kelp tablets which have 150mcg of
Iodine per tablet. (I've tried taking every other kind of
Iodine imaginable at many doses and pretty much the higher doses make me feel much worse)
Barley and Wheat grass tablets 2-4 per day and Liver powder from hormone free, grass fed beef - About 1 TB a day or every other day.
It's really amazing how much better I feel just taking those three things. My body temp has increased dramatically, I have energy and I can stay up late and watch a movie, I FEEL MOTIVATED to do things...All the hobbies I use to love, I feel like doing now. I feel like cleaning my house and doing all of those chores that I use to find overwhelming.
Liver powder can treat any form of anemia. It is high in the B vitamins and liver. I don't completely understand the mechanism of the barley and wheat grass but apparently it also helps support the blood and metabolism. And the kelp gives me just the right amount of
Iodine I need each day - not too little and not too much.
I am not here to debate anything or suggest any weird treatment protocol. All I would like to do is suggest to others who are sick and tired to take a closer look at really supplying the body with the nutrition it needs without doing some radical out of balance diet that eliminates food groups.
It does take 90 days for new red blood cells to be made so be patient and give your body time regenerate.
