Mark 10000- Great post! I couldn't agree more. I was on the high carb/low fat diet my entire life and getting sicker and sicker. Three years ago I became a mostly raw foodist eating lots and lots of fruit to keep calories up. I crashed so severely with this diet. We ate this way for 2 years. This was my worst dietary mistake.
I have been on the Paleo way of eating( no grains, processed foods, sugar, in-season local fruit only) along with NB the last 1.5 years and have healed myself to about 95%. I no longer have terrible cravings and always feel satisfied after meals. In the last year alone I got rid of hypoglycemia, AF, sluggish thyroid and chronic constipation.
I don't add much extra fat to my meals but eat plenty of fatty foods like meat, eggs, occasional cream and use coconut oil and butter. I don't strain the fat off my grassfed hamburger and use the fat that rises in my bone broth. I eat around 100gms of carb per day. Foods can be tracked with

Some need more added fat like my hubby. He is a fast oxidizer and really needs it. He adds butter and coconut oil to some foods.
