Hi
I am planning to do hair minerals/toxic metals analysis to look deeper into my candida,dysbiosis,weakness problem.
I am reading opinions that this test will give me answear if I have problem with toxins but some people say this test is not reliable and will always show elevated toxins.
What do you think,have anyone did this test ?Did result helped in your healing,do you think it was reliable,useful ?- Re: Is hair analysis for heavy metal... #154965

Actually my toxic metals are so low, they are not being eliminated.
It is called the poor eliminator pattern.

Explains why after 12 years of trying many herbs and alternative therapy and becoming much worse why my symptoms don't improve, also explains why my daughter became very poorly after the hpv vaccine. Body is poor at expelling metals, toxins etc. thanks again.

This is a reply to # 2,025,044Sort of.. heavy metals bury themselves deep in the body and do not like to come out unprovoked. Hair analysis is about as good as anything else in my opinion, another option however is a urine challenge test. If your only looking for metals a urine challenge test may be slighly better (that challenge part is important here, one must take a high dose of a heavy metal chelator to try to coax the metals out if they are there), but a hair analysis is useful for a lot of other things like your metabolic rate, electrolytes etc.

This is a reply to # 2,025,044I didn't do a hair test for metals; it was enough for me that my body went haywire when I started taking some chelators (DMPS, ALA, chlorella).
From everything I've read online, there is no foolproof way to know if you are metal toxic through lab tests. The metals could be anywhere in your body causing problems, all the way into your bone marrow (lead sinks right into your bones). That's why I am of the school of thought that if your symptoms fit the list, you just need to start chelating and see how it goes.
To be honest, as metal-toxic as our environment is nowadays with lead and mercury in particular, everyone should be chelating periodically anyway IMO.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,025,044I do Hair Mineral testing and I have been on Dr. Wilson's program for a year now. My health has improved greatly. The last missing piece of the puzzle for clearing out stomach infections for me was taking garlic.

This is a reply to # 2,025,389Sounds promissing...I do the test and follow chelation terapy if needed but I dont want to take more supplements if I dont have to.
I already take so many for candida,dont want to overload my liver and the whole system.

This is a reply to # 2,025,044I have been on the Nutritional Balancing program for 13 months and it has been the only program to finally restore my health after being very sick for many, many years.
I did however add several treatments on top of the NB for chronic infections. Once the chronic infections(sibo and suspected lyme) were taken care of I am now about 95% healed.- Re: Is hair analysis for heavy metal... Marie64

This is a reply to # 2,025,457I think the hair analysis is the best tool out there.
I have been on NB for a while now and it is helping me dump aluminum. I was very ill when started and improved greatly. I am still in the process of getting these metals out and getting off the rest of my hydrocortiosone.
You may find NB can help in eliminating candida as well.
In fact I think it is important to do them once in a while to make sure you are on the right track with supplements. I was on NB for 1 year and was feeling great (95%) healed. I decided I could heal myself with my own supplements...I was wrong about 3-4 months I started to feel like I was going backwards...maybe 85-90% healed..I decided to go back on. Happy I did I was taking the wrong supplements..I made my minerals drop low and if I continued to do what I thought was correct I would have gotten much worse. (I jumped ship to fast..need to get more metals out).
Best thing so far I did for my health.
Make sure to use a lab that doesn't wash the hair, makes a difference in the results.

This is a reply to # 2,025,478Onwards, how were you tested for lyme and other? Did you do blood work?
I want to be sure I know what's going on with me - if it's AF or something else. Not sure what hair analysis can tell
