My right hand is usually swollen during the cold months, but it has recently gotten worse. A few days ago, dark red spots that look like ink stains appeared on two of my fingers, which from what I've been reading am afraid of it being cellulitis.

I don't know if this is edema/water retention or lymphedema, so taking diuretics, drinking more water or reducing salt consumption could be either beneficial or not depending on the condition.

- How do I know if this is edema or lymphedema?
- What can I do to improve this?
