How are things? Just done 12 days myself with little water. I slide into a fast when ever these days and notice very little difference in energy levels. So much so that I cannot stop and rest during a fast. I will try and find the limit to that one day.

How are things? Just done 12 days myself with little water. I slide into a fast when ever these days and notice very little difference in energy levels. So much so that I cannot stop and rest during a fast. I will try and find the limit to that one day.

What you describe sounds very much like evidence of your having reached very low levels of toxemia, so congratulations on that. I am actually quite a bit stronger to this point than i was anticipating as well, but i attribute this primarily to walking each moment with my heart connected to my LORD'S, much as a branch attached to the Vine.

Hi Rainy. Thank you much for your continued support. The fast is going extremely well. The surrender and the accompanying intimacy with the LORD have been amazing. Much Holy Spirit tingling going on in my body, His tangible reminder of His holy presence. There is much Peace, much Joy. Since i started on the first and today is the 7th, today is day 7 at the end of which 7 full days will have been completed, so it's about 6.4 days now.
I have been protecting this fast by not being aggressive at all with dry fasting. I started with 2 days and when i began to feel fairly thirsty and a bit nauseated, i made the decision to drink right away at which point the bit of nausea quickly subsided. I hope to do some 3 day esther fasts within this fast, but i am foremost protecting the overall fast, so i am not pushing myself dry beyond comfort as i had done in the previous fast which resulted in 16 strait days of fasting nausea and the need to stop the fast at 20 days instead of the hope for 40 : ). I anticipate at some point in this fast that 3 days dry will become more comfortable and only at that point will i do it, and hopefully more than once.
The Lord arranged another divine meeting a couple nights ago with a guy who also lives a surrendered life of worship unto the Lord and who also has been blessed with the gift of healing. We became fast friends and when we prayed for one another, we both were richly blessed. He actually got delivered in Jesus name from a couple of things that had been coming against him and said He immediately felt them physically lift off of him and get replaced by peace and clarity. I then saw him the next night at a different fellowship, which also was great and we actually had the chance to pray together for 3 different people who needed healing, each of whom were healed instantaneously in Jesus name : ). A fourth man who was deaf did not instantaneously receive his hearing back but i pray that the LORD and His holy warrior angels are still working on this.

It's good to hear that the fast is going so well. :) I was especially glad to hear that you will not be forcing dry days. I expect you will come out of this a changed man as the Lord does His work in your life through this fasting with prayer experience.
I enjoyed the testimony of deliverance and am happy to hear that you now have another new friend. Praying with someone else is always more powerful especially when the other person is also on fire for the Lord.

Ha, ha. Timing is really bad for me right now. I am getting ready for a major company experience to celebrate the holidays, but mostly to enjoy being with family for a time. I doubt that I will be spending much time on CZ from now until it is over. I'm pretty sure that I will not be spending much time fasting unless it is a day here and there. I will be thinking about you and hope you will give updates on this forum. I am especially praying that the Lord will magnify your discernment as a result of this fast. :)

... and all is well. Each day has been a rich blessing in the Lord and i have found some amazing in-person support in a thursday night fellowship where i attend. I received some beautiful and deeply encouraging prayer last week in regards to this fast, sitting in the "hot seat" and getting immersed in the love of those who surrounded me with the laying on of hands : ).
Two days ago my brother and i made a pilgrimage to visit the gravesite of Daniel Nash to honor a great man of intercessory prayer and worshipful servant of the Lord Jesus. He was the man who prayed to prepare a city in the spirit realm for Charles Finney to come in and preach in what became a truly great revival.
It was a 4 hour drive and we left without having the address which took about 3.5 hours to research and find via smart phone while on the way... well sort of. We found the address of a cattle auction house which if it was to be the right one, the gravesite would be behind it down a dirt road.

I understand completely.
My Pastor had to start preaching stronger sermons because the Calvinists that had joined our church were taking on teaching positions and causing all sorts of problems for the church. ( of course this was mostly the fault of non-discerning Elders who chose them in the first place)
Not that they were not decent, hard working people...it's just that their teachings where not of the beliefs of the church completely. Even though it's great going to a small church, you have less people to choose from to teach and serve. Many become Elders or Deacons before anyone really gets a chance to see what they believe fully. Hyper-Calvinists can blend in when they want to and only if they speak up in sunday school, may you even know that they believe differently...it's when they get into teaching/preaching positions, when you really find out the truth.
We have one family in the church who are highly involved and are not only hyper-calvinists, but are also Preterists, who are talking about moving. Another Preterist family already moved as well. I can't help but wonder if it is due to the stronger sermons of our pastor who is finally recognizing the problem. I will miss them, but I won't miss their teachings. However, it means less people in the church and less to serve for a while....but God will provide...He always does.
I loved reading this about Finney. His personal encounter sounded so familiar in some ways.
The 29-year-old lawyer Charles Grandison Finney had decided he must settle the question of his soul's salvation. So on October 10, 1821, he headed out into the woods near his Adams, New York, home to find God. "I will give my heart to God, or I never will come down from there," he said. After several hours, he returned to his office, where he experienced such forceful emotion that he questioned those who could not testify to a similar encounter.
"The Holy Spirit … seemed to go through me, body and soul," he later wrote. "I could feel the impression, like a wave of electricity, going through and through me. Indeed it seemed to come in waves of liquid love, for I could not express it in any other way."
The next morning, Finney returned to his law office to meet with a client whose case he was about to argue. "I have a retainer from the Lord Jesus Christ to plead his cause," he told the man, "and cannot plead yours."
And so began the new career of the man who would become the leading revivalist in the nineteenth century.
So glad to hear that your fast is going so wonderfully. God is so good. :)
