Onwards-
I think that unfortunately the world of natural medicine can be just as tainted as the traditional medicine field. Unfortunately there are people who are more concerned about keeping their pockets full than actually helping and informing the ill.
I expect it from traditional MDs (the first and only endo I ever saw treated me like a robot on an assembly line), but it makes me even more sad to see people running around as "holistic and natural healers" and still holding back information to keep people in the dark so that they will continue to return for treatments/consultations.
If I hadn't already been aware that ARL sends people a full book and requested it, I don't think that the practitioner would have even offered it to me. I understood more about my analysis from that book than from his "consultation" (which by the way cost me almost $200).
I get that everyone needs to earn a living, but it's sad that there aren't many healers out there whose priority is to heal. And the worst part of it is that many times these natural healers are even more expensive than the endos and MDs!
One of the upsides to having AF is that you get real savvy about programs and doctors/healers. I've learned to request a free 10 minute call just to talk a little about their expertise and whether they feel they can help me out. If they refuse to take 10 min to reassure me that they're worth my rubbed together pennies, or if they sound like BS, then I move on.
