Hi Deotoma,
Just a small pinch, so that u don't taste it like 1/16th tsp.
The way to tell if u take too much is when it has a laxative effect.
Thanks,
Paraboy
Moreless is the one who recommends epsom salts in his ph drink and for bathing.
Also, the liver flush community uses it more aggressively than a few pinches per day, but I haven't seen any issues of intestinal problems in that forum. I believe Telman has successfully done over 40 liver flushes and has improved considerably.
Here is telman's explanation on Magnesium.

This is why I use it so often and because it is cheap, has no fillers and supplies magnesium with sulfur.
I have never seen anyone have problems with it and my family has been using it for years.

The pinch I recommended was a very small one such as < 1/16th tsp.
I don't think 4 of these would even fill a 00 capsule.
If I remember correctly, it would take 15 capsules to make 1 Tbsp of epsom salts.
The PH Drink is:
1-2 Tbsp Blackstrap Molasses
Pinch of Epsom Salts
1-2 Tbsp pickling lime water
1/8 c lemon juice
water
This paragraph doesn't make sense to me.
"The purgative action of Sulphate of Magnesia is not a quality of the drug, but a quality of its physical state, which renders its absorption impossible. The properties inherent in the substance itself can only be discovered by attenuation (Percy Wilde).

Is he saying that ES does not absorb nutritionally?
Thanks,

I don't see how that would be valid.
With a liver flush alone, it shows how the magnesium relaxes the smooth muscles.
Epsom salts supplies magnesium, sulfur and oxygen and it is used for hypomagnesmia.
