This is a reply to # 1,988,721yeah our condition does similar effect hard crusts that grow and grow and grow.
its very bizzare. but the only thing is i doubt he can put vaseline on it and it hides. i can essure you he would of tried plenty of creams with no sucess or even not being able to hide it. the reason why i think ours is actually just a skin condition. and also our biopsy results should come up with wart virus. so ill be watching closely for sirpies results.
and also if zyclara works for you.
i mean liloo sounded legit. but she vanished with no sucess so im guessing she didnt resolve her ec.

its unforunate but it still might actually be.
the docs said aldera could of manipulated my biopsy results. so im still abit unsure although the docs said i defs dont have it. but i dont know if they really checked for it or not. some doctors are very hard to talk to and dont listen alot.
so it would be good for some people to get some new fresh biopsy's with their crusts on and get this time get it checked more in depth. im probably going to have another one in 2 weeks when my lips settle down abit theyve been hammered lately with aldera and a massive biopsy this biopsy was so big and deep its scared my lips. ;(

This is a reply to # 1,988,726She did share her biopsy results. Everyone on here keeps asking what her results were, and why she didnt tell us. She told us like a million times. She said her results came up positive for wart virus. I dont know if she said exactly what strain but apparently her biopsy said "verucca" on it.

she only said from her mouth it was. didnt actually show the actual results. im not saying she is lieing. but it would just be good if she could upload it. but it seems like she has left the forum.
this might sound suss but you gotta be careful of people advertising products and drugs on internet forums.

But if she couldnt cure it again, she probably just doesnt want to come back on the forum because she knows a bunch of people will call her a fraud.
But I believe that she treated it the first time.

This is a reply to # 1,988,738The zyclara isnt reacting the way I thought. It has created a kind of hard layer of skin on my lips, almost as if it sped up the process of the buildup (because I just peeled them completely 2 days ago and the buildup started the next day!)
Although I have read that hardening the skin is a common side effect, so I dont KNOW that it has sped up the process, it could just be hardening the skin in a different way. But the zyclara doesnt seem to be able to penetrate this layer, so the only parts that are red and sting, are the sides that dont have this layer on them.
I need to speak with my derm about it.

This is a reply to # 1,988,728oneof you guys in the u.s.a should defintely give the clinic a call i would try get in contact with the doctor that made the first diagnosis. in regards to the wart virus i actually read on another forum that a guy had his ec frozen off and it vanished for 6 months but then later returned.
im trying to figure out why the first time my ec started on my top lip it also vanished for 6 months.
i dont think there is a doctor that really knows what ec is to tell you the truth. im sure if there was somebody would of been cured. there would surely be one or 2 people that would of. this condtion is rare and has unknown causes.- Re: look!! lilo96

This is a reply to # 1,988,733Just updating that I started the zyclara again Friday and will be doing it today and then Tuesday. The herpes is supressed and the doctor said there's no reason for it not to work this time, so it will. The only thing I've been doing up until now is taking the valtrex for the herpes to get it out of the lips so there hasn't really been much to tell. And I honestly don't know where the biopsy paper is, it was taken in early 2011 and I thought it was behind me at that point so I don't know if we kept it. Great to hear from you. I'm on day 4 of Zyclara, but its reacting a bit different. Mine is causing inflammation and created this hard layer of skin. Hopefully it will start reacting differently.

This is a reply to # 1,988,775Around the second application when it starts weeping I get a layer of yellow hard crusts that's much different from the regular ones, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean or not. It should be okay though, it can do some weird stuff, but if you don't think its normal probably ask your dermatologist.

This is a reply to # 1,988,778Yeah mines a bit different than that. The hard skin that has formed is a lot like the first day of exfoliative cheilitis buildup, but a bit different. And mine hasn't weeped at all.

can i ask you will you keep us updated on your progress just once a week??? i mean were all really excited to hear that someone has had a diagnosis and treated it once sucessfully!
im sorry that sometimes we get doubtful but i mean im sure you would understand if youv been in our shoes and know what its like to go to 50 deoctors for months and motnsh and no one knows a thing!!!
so what have you actually done taken some anti-viral tablets for 2 weeks to get rid of the cold sore. and now your back on zyclara and going to do 3 applications of it. 1 day on 1 day off 1 day on 1 day off 1 day on then constant vaseline for a few days???

mine kinda did the same thing. it gave the lips like a hard feel to them. but at the same time there was bits of yellow crust oozing out. the lips felt really inflammed and a bit hard kinda like sand paper but on the 3rd day after 2 applications i applied some vaseline and it soothed it alot and bought down the swelling. but the yellow puss continued to ooze out. and then on the 3rd night i decided to give it a break and then on the 4th and 5th day all hell broke loose. inflammation increased yellow puss got hectic and blood started to drip and seep through the lips. then on about the 7th day and 8th days the crust started to all fall off and reveil healthy looking lips whihc i applied vaseline to for the 2 days following but then decided to stop and then ec came back but it was different. and didnt build up as much.
i guess it will be good to see what happens with your lips and i also think soil work is going to try his zyclara and also sirpies biopsy is now getting reviewed for hpv virus. so i guess all is on track fingers crossed and good luck lillooo look forward to your progress!!!
