I got the Mirena IUD on 8/2/12 and began having weird headaches about a week later. I feel like I am in a fog and can't concentrate. These headache are daily, lasting 6 hours or more, and no over the counter meds offer any relief. I called my OB, she said it is not likely the IUD (even though I read that I should call my provider if I have persistant headaches?!) So I made an appointment with my general DR.She gave me an Antibiotic and said if I still have headaches in a week to give her a call. ( Antibiotics for sphenoid sinus infection possibly?) Gave her a call and had a CT scan - looks normal. Had blood work- looks normal. She said I should now get my eyes checked and get an MRI??? Should I just get the Mirena out or is this not likely causing these headaches? Anyone else have these symptoms after a week?
