b-17 can have some toxicities although it is promoted as non toxic...the mechanism is well understood but it is viewed as supportive and should not be considered a stand alone therapy...as should diet as well.
There are millions of people in the grave who tried to treat their cancers with diet alone...diet is seen as supportive and preventative for reoccurrence.
Many people have died from their disease while taking b-17 not from the product but from the cancer.
Gerson has most of the fundamentals right but overlooks some very basic facts about alkalinity, oxygen absorbtion, and the role of heavier minerals.
Gerson was on the right track and has pushed alternative treatments in the right direction...still many people implementing his protocols have slowed progression, sometimes regression even. Where Gerson fell short was the role of pro oxidants and heavier salts.
b-17 we never tell people not to take it...but if alkalinlity isn't achieved with heavier minerals, if pro oxidants aren't poured into the body, you can expect mixed results which btw are better than most modern allopathic treatment results.
To beat cancer you must attack it on all fronts...starving the cancer, choking off its respiration, supporting the immune system, applying selectively toxic compounds that do not fit into alkaline or pro oxidant compounds which is what b-17 does. It's selectively toxic...all selectively toxic compounds can become toxic to healthy cells if over used or poorly metabolized...
