in regards to how bad your lips yous to be to how they look in this picture after 4 months of leaving lips alone and living normal life.

you would have to agree your lips have such a small flake and it looks almost like you were on your way to healing and being cured.
to then after 5 months of leaving lips alone, then start applying a lip balm moisturzier now for the last month is bizzare for me. if it was me i would of just left them alone and keeped doing what ever you were doing. it would of been interesting to see how they would of looked today if you didnt start applying lip balms whihc some people think casue our ec maybe becasue we have sensitive lips or something who knows?
but anyways as of today your lips now just peel off very thinly every morning when you brush your teeth becasue you are applying moisturizer whihc makes the flakes come off easy. (its happened to me before)
anyways what im trying to ask is do you reckon if you dint apply lip balms you would of continued to see improvenment or do you reckon there would be no difference the fact is we will never know if you would of gotton cured becasue your lips have been triggering a peeling mechanism daily.
1st i dont understand why you would go back to yousing lips balm! but i guess you know your condition the best. if it was me i would of just left it alone for a few more months!!!!!! but anywaysss i lookforward to here more about this surgery you are looking into i hope you well my french friend!
one day we will laugh and not have shiiitttt lipss! hopefully soon

Yeah I agree in this picture I just have small flakes on my lips and honestly if every one here just follows the leaving alone treatment and allows his lips to get wet he would have exactly the same result than me.
It is more or less the same thing that Daniel experienced and according to me his progress is still just an illusion, no offense at all but when he wasn't used to wet his lips they objectively weren't showing some improvement and it's just when he decided to wet them a little that they started to be esthetically more good.
Of course Daniel you said that underneath you felt better and better each week and I totally can understand that! According to me, it was just the ugly flakes which just easily came unstuck once they got wet, and that's all, but the peeling lips keeps going but, of course, lips just look more good. This doesn't prevent me from wanting you to be cured!
About the lipbalm I started to use, it was for me the best thing I could do because objectively after more than 4-5 months of leaving alone treatment there wasn't very improvement, always this peeling cycle which kept going, no matter what. I would have hoped a small area heals, but it didn't, and I don't think it would have improved if I would have let my lips alone few more months.
For me, no matter I put lipbalm, or wet my lips, eat or drink, my condition just remains, there aren't some periods more or less strong, just a peeling cycle which keeps going no matter what I do.
I doubt about the 'rebuilding of the lips layer' because a semi-mucous membrane doesn't take so long to recover and I understand that it can depend of what triggered this EC etc, but objectively, if I stand back on my condition, there wasn't any improvement at all, without considering the state changes in a peeling cycle, so the fact of putting lipbalm again was seriously taken, having the choice to let just flakes growing on my lips or hide them and move to an other step.
I'm waiting for my biopsy results with my derm, I've also contacted an other one who was recommended to me, my appointment in 10 days.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,974,990Yeah I removed it about one week ago with no really improvement since. Also I've decided to not sleep with the 'gutter teeth' during night to see if there would be a change, even if I'm not truthfully convinced LOL but it costs nothing so I give it a try, in the meantime, before getting my biopsy results.
At least, I can say that my mouth is just totally and perfectly clean, never had caries, amalgams, no stranger element in it!
Tiring.
